Easily the best bar b que in san diego, the pulled pork is moist, not overly salty and flavorful . The sausage is amazing, the brisket, jiggle jiggle good. Just melts in your mouth. The ssssalivation is REAL! Coop knows how to do it right! His Q is legit. Tasty, tender, juicy ribs n brisket that don’t need any sauce. Every bite that slides off the bone has loads of smokiness. This is the best BBQ place I've found not only in San Diego county, but anywhere outside of Texas. Anyone who raves about Phil's BBQ needs to try Coop's. Phil's ribs without BBQ sauce are bland and fatty. Coop's ribs are lean, smoked, and super flavorful without any BBQ sauce. When you add one of their BBQ sauces, it takes the flavor to another level way better than Phil's with BBQ sauce. We got here right at opening on a Friday. There was 2 people who were here before us but no line. We ended up ordering 1/2 a slab of Ribs, 1/2 pound of Barbeque Jerk Chicken, 1/4 pound of Brisket and 1/4 pound of Sausage.
